Today SYA’s and toddler went to Luna’s in Riverview. It’s a large open space with very high ceilings and concrete floor. It’s noisy but the Spanish music masks the din. I saw many working guys and business people there not just the lunching ladies and couples, it’s definitely a guys food dream, large platters of hot food and reasonably priced drinks.
The menu was daunting, so many combos and specials to sort out. SYA’s ordered a chicken taco salad #3 lunch taco & enchilada with tamale and #5 lunch, taco with burrito. The plates came out very very hot. The tamale was opened and extra ground beef, sauce and cheese were added. Baby had a few bites and didn’t want anymore, spoiled by her Dad, a fine Dominican cook. The food was tasty, and the beef flavor came more from the fat in the beef than seasoning. Take a look around, it’s basic tex-mex comfort food and will definitely stick to your ribs. The room was filled with big guys that you know won’t settle for a side salad with dressing on the side to get them through the day!
I can see two entre’s will feed a family of four easily for $8.00 so it’s a very good value.
Overall I would rate this a 6 out of 10 on the Brandon Bubble scale.
